After a brilliant first year, Burton’s Bollards is returning – and we’re inviting the community to get involved all over again.
Last year, the streets of Burton-on-Trent were transformed with colour, creativity and a real sense of togetherness. From handmade bollard buddies to beautifully crafted covers, it was a celebration of what happens when people come together to make something joyful.
This year, we’re building on that momentum.
Whether you’re a seasoned knitter, a crochet enthusiast, or someone who simply loves the idea of adding a little extra colour to the town, there are plenty of ways to take part. You can create your own bollard buddy, craft a cover, donate spare yarn, or help spread the word and encourage others to join in.
Materials can be dropped off at the yarn collection point at the Brewhouse Arts Centre, helping ensure that anyone who wants to take part can do so.
Burton’s Bollards is all about community, creativity, and making art accessible in everyday spaces. It’s about bringing people together, sharing skills, and creating moments of delight in unexpected places.
Follow the journey via the Burton’s Bollards Facebook page, get involved in whatever way suits you, and help us make this second year even bigger, brighter, and full of personality.
